... it was something that some character in a book called his or her mum, and I thought it was funny.

But ... she is my real mum.

But as most men in Norfolk marry their sisters, I imagine there are lots of aunt/mums there.

My memory is not what it used to be. As a child I had amazing powers of recall. I could memorise long sequences of numbers. Mostly useless info.
I totally forgot that you had a Swiss boyfriend, and so didn't make the connection when you said you were going to Geneva !! Duh !!
