Second job
I have been trying forever to get a job in photography & it has finally happened... yay... except I'm only starting on 2 days a week (Saturdays plus 1 week day).
I need a second job to fill in the rest of my time... I was thinking of a part-time temp job in an office, but there doesn't seem to be anything about :-( Then I thought about working in a pub the rest of the time, but I didn't realise the pay was so low.
Does anyone have any suggestions? If possible something that would be flexible with the days I work, as the photography is my priority & I'd like to be available if I'm needed.

The pay is usually 5/hour minimum - hardly a fortune I know. The main advantage is that it's totally flexible and you could easily fit in your photography job too (congrats on that by the way!). You can work as many hours a week as you like, and on different days each week.
Another thing you could do, although this may be complicated, it something like a home ironing service. As in, take your lovely Corsa (the best cars in the world!) round to people's houses, collect their creased clothes, and then take them back beautifully pressed. Least you'd get to watch TV while you worked! Although given that 28.9% of users on this site HATE ironing (I love it) - and you may be one of them - this might be a rubbish suggestion!
I did a part time job when I was at uni. I would purchase items from an auction house and sell them on ebay. It takes a lot of time and research to get good at it, but once your up and running, you're making about 30 per hour, which is quite a good wage. It laughs in the face of 4 per hour, you get to work your own hours mostly, are learning all the time, and it can be great fun. The packing bit is a pain, as is dealing with the odd ******, but overall, you can't beat it.
It is also possible to purchase new items from stores and sell them at a profit. I see this happening a lot.
