I don't think its Linda, I think it is Landa, named after one of Burke and Will's (the explorers) camels, who died on their fateful journey.

Still think it's Linda
Linda Creek in southwest Queensland starts at an elevation of 193m and ends at an elevation of 145m merging with the Pituri Creek.
The Linda Creek flows through Rocky Waterhole (164m), Qualunga Waterhole (152m), Six Mile Waterhole (151m) and Wariltha Waterhole (150m) on its way to joining the Pituri Creek.
