Hello, does anyone know if and how it is possible to withdraw an item from sale on e-bay? Basically I am very unconfortable about some messages I have received from an enquirer (he/she has not bid), it sounds phoney, I'll go as far as saying that there is a hint of perversion (I am selling school wear... ). Frankly I'd rather give the item to charity than have anything further to do with this individual (there have been no other bids or enquiries). P.S. I have reported the enquirer, whether or not E-bay will do anything about it I don't know.

You can withdraw an item that has a bid provided you do that more than 12 hours before the listing is due to end.

You don't need to remove the item from sale, you could just add this unwelcome person to your list of people from whom you will not accept bids. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the last piece of advice, too late for me as I have already removed item from sale, but I shall bear this in mind. I hope I can block this person from sending me any messages at all. Thank you again.

Sorry, you can't block people from sending you messages. The best you can do is to use the "report" button on the message and let ebay deal with it, if they can be bothered.
