Depends on the breed. Larger breeds mature much later and many breed clubs stipulate that you cannot breed from them until after their second birthday or third season. Smaller breeds tend to mature earlier, but even then, it is not wise to breed from one until at least the second season, to ensure they are physically capable of breeding.
You cannot register a litter with the kennel club unless the mother is over one year old at the time of mating, which covers accidental matings, but no-one who thought anything of their bitch would consider a planned mating at such a young age.
Not until she's at least 3 years old, ideally, otherwise it's akin to a very young girl having a child.

Those involved in money making schemes, i.e. breeders, would obviously advocate mating at a much younger age but this does not take into consideration the animal's own development from pup itself to adulthood.

The kennel club, for example, still condones many breeds which between them have multitudes of health problems caused primarily by genetic misbreeding over many, many decades.

You should consider carefully your true reason(s) for wanting to do this. But ultimately it's your choice. Your doggie doesn't have a say, does she?
paraffin you talk a load of unsubstantiated rubbish.
Why do you want to know? If you have to ask this question don't breed from your dog. This is not meant to be antagonistic but if you have to ask this question, why are you contemplating having a litter of puppies from your bitch.

mummyto3:

What a sensible person you are, deciding not to bring any more unwanted puppies into the world. Good on you. Were there more people like you we wouldn't have the thousands of doggies up and down the UK looking for homes.

The rescue centres would be far less populous if these irresponsible people breeding dogs simply for financial gain were stopped in their tracks.

After all, if people really cared for animal welfare, they wouldn't be swelling their bank balances at the expense of helpless animals. Well done, mummy!
