Are ther any set procedure's for aquiring security clearance at sc level as this seem's to be a stumbling block for myself trying to gain employment. There are vacancies out there but this is the main problem i have. I respect the security issues but there must be a way of findingout more detail's.

Normally an employer will have a procedure set in place to do their own SC checks so it is done on a neutral basis without the candidate being able to tamper with an application.  Most normal everyday jobs do not require SC checks as they do not have access to any sensitive info.  It would only be a stumbling block if you were trying to gain sensitive employment and you had some crime. Do you have a specific job in mind?
