I wonder if anyone can help me with a quantity query? How much double cream should I buy to whip for cream teas for approx 100 people? I am assuming that each person will have one scone, i.e. two halves and maybe come back for another!! Very many thanks in advance.

get clotted cream!
i wont suggest a quantity because i use way more than is necessary!
I would also recommend clotted cream as the most delicious option - and think of all that whipping you won't have to do! We use a 227g tub for 8-10 scones depending on how much cream each person likes to have - I like lots.
