three year old girl wetting herself
my girlfriend is almost 21 with a 3 year old. we've been seeing each other about a month now and the child seems to like me, but she has begun wetting herself more often than the occasional "accident" and has had more and more trouble with obeying. she begins to cry (some times fake cry) at even the thought of some one telling her no. what can we do to help her cope with the change and stop the wetting?

My almost 4 year old went back to having a lot of accidents and being upset easily when daddy went on holiday for a week so a little girl who isnt used to a stranger spending time with her mummy may just be feeling upsep and unsettled.
Go back to stage one, put training pants on her if you dont want to put up with the accidents and ask her every half hour if she needs the toilet, get mum to put her on loo in the night too if needs be.
The change is going to take a while to get used to. We dont know the circumstances, maybe mum has had a boyfriend previous to this or she is still very close to her dad.
All you can do is be patient as i said.

Following on from what Redcrx said, it must be quite an emotional upheaval for her. So far she's possibly been the main person in her mum's life and suddenly she's having to share her attention with you. She probably feels a bit insecure. It will take a little time for her to adjust and patience on your side.
