I need some advice. I have paid a car mechanic to replace the engine in my car which cost me 6oo pounds in cash. After having it back for two weeks the clutch went which was caused by something he did when he changed the engine but i then paid another 2oo to get rectified. The car is still not running correctly and the mechanic is refusing to rectify the fault or even give me an invoice for the work that he has done.
Can anyone give me any advice as to my next step?
Many thanks

How do you know that the problem with the clutch was anything to do with the new engine? Might not have been.

Why didn't you get an invoice when you handed the money over? Have you anything to prove you have paid? A receipt?
