I have a lot of software that I have reviewed or tested and is no longer in use by me but has been registered or activated to my PC. It is now removed.
If I sell or give away any software will the next user have any problems installing or using it.
I cant think I have ever read any procedure covering this.
Can anyone advise.?

there isn't a hard and fast rule ... some eulas allow installing on more than one machine ... oem software is generally registered to a machine
some (pim etc) is registered to a person for use on any machine.

the general rule is only one machine - ownership transferred with CD.

in most cases where a serial number is involved it shouldn't be a problem
the online registration method keeps tabs ... and may need a call or two
