What is better.....their new stuff eg.american idiot and wake me when september ends ot.....their older stuff eg. basketcase and good ridance(time of you life)?

i think you'll find it will be different for different people.  Personally i think all of those mentioned are equally good

Their old stuff without a doubt. they have gone too commercialised now and their fan base are now little teeny boppers. So yeah, definately their old stuff.

'gone too commercialised'. Indie snob alert! ;o). Just because they've become more succesful doesn't make them any worse. Unlike Metallica, Green Day have stuck to their fomula and come through with the goods.

I think the new stuff is as good as the older stuff. Good to know some of these 'teeny boppers' have some taste in music.

Definately the older stuff. Some of their newer stuff isn't too bad (some of it is) but it does seem more targetted at just making chart hits

personally i can listen to any of their stuff.

dookie remains the high point for me tho.

I've gotta say i think the new album is the best yet ! It's as if they've grown up since the earlier stuff.
