where does the saying let the dog see the rabbits come from? my grandad and nan used to use it alot and i think it was said when you were trying to sort something out and too many people were in the way and nan/grandad would come to help? not really sure.
From greyhound racing or simply rabbitting with dogs.
Leterally means 'get out of the way as I can't see what I'm supposed to doing'
Let the (hunting) dog see the (hunted) rabbit.
