I really want to go to Florida at christmas but i have been told that it is too cold compared to at easter. I think it will be a spectacular place to be at christmas and i would like a change from going at Easter as i have done for the past years! Is it that much colder and is it worth going??

We spent last Christmas in Florida and I have to say were disappointed with the weather.  We did have a few good days (ie around 25 degrees) but also had some very cold days (Boxing Day was 10 degrees - and felt much colder when out on a boat without coats!) and quite a bit of wind and rain. However, friends who live in Florida have said that it was an unusually cold spell.  But, given the choice, I'd go at Easter rather than Christmas having experienced both.

I have been to Florida twice in February. The locals were in the grip of a big freeze but to us it was jacket weather, just right.

I've had warm new years there, but they do have cold snaps. Further south you go the better; Key West generally warm, Orlando can be chillier. Easter will be warmer of course - but it's nicer to escape January weather than April weather imho.
you never know what kind of weather we will have, some christmas's have been shorts weather and some really cold. i live here year round. actually grew up here so i love it allthe time. the further you go the warmer it will be. central fla inland is colder than the coast though
We usually go in February but went on 27th December just gone.  We found the weather was beautiful.  I think it was bad up till then but we never had to wear a jacket and it got up to the 80s most days.  Going in October next.
