sky+ box

i signed up to sky hd, the engineer who fitted hd put the sky plus thingy in the empty box and said that is yours and left it with me, so my question is do i take the + box to the tip or is there a use for it . (i know i am a little slow perhaps but if you don,t ask you dont get)

thanks, i don,t want to sound like a philistine but e bay is way beyond me, what i meant was could i use it in another room or give it away, would it be of any use to anyone? thanks.
