The adapter for my advent 7026 laptop has died, the output is 19v 4.74a. I have another adapter, but it's ouput is 12v 5a. I know the laptop will go on as I have tried. But will it damage my computer if I use it?
Thanks for answering, fin

No - if it seems to work at all, it is more likely to damage the adaptor - but you might get away with it. The battery will take a lot longer to charge up.
