16 and wants a job (UK)

well im 16 years old, and i have less than 4 weeks left untill i leave school. After school i am going to college, however i am looking for a part time job (and have been for the last 5 months!) I live in the UK/Birmingham area, theres so many shops ect about, but ive asked and handed CV's into everywhere, and had no luck :| Most places such as gregg's, mcdonals, asda, ect said you must finish school before they can hire you, but i only have about 3 weeks? and i only want a part time (evening,weekend) job anyway. CAN ANYONE HELP!?

Btw: could i work in a bar/club/pub? I know someone who is 17 who does, but i thought the law was 18 or 21 ?

Have you thought about alternatives?
I lost my job few years ago and after that I just couldn't find a new one. Nobody was hiring. I am so glad that my friend told me about this...
