You are allowed to run in and save ONE item.

What would it be? (Size or weight is no hindrance)

I`d be very boring and take my personal file with original deeds, marriage certificates (three!) etc

Razzle . I didn't realise that you meant possesions for a second- I thought you meant you family !!! Had a funny moment. :o)
My best friend's grandad was a fireman and when they had a fire he sat at the table eating breakfast and told his wife to call the fire brigade - granted he wasn't at work and I think it might have been a chimney fire.

Lore yep - did you? And we had sex on legs toooooooooo

I know how you feel, Razz.

And, of course, that brings up another question.

How many people have their houses insured for the RE-BUILDING cost, I wonder?
My OH just wandered in and I read the question to him. He said he would save his concertina !! Gee ta mate!! Puts me in my place!!
Well they're silly not to. We once had a fire start in an outside brick-built building. Within a very short time it was almost razed to the ground, with just 2 remaining very black walls. The insurance covered a new build - but thank goodness it wasn't the house!!
Yup we are fully covered. That's not very suprising is it? Ah but who knows who they are insured with? What if your policy went in the fire ? would you know where to start ? Stash a copy of your policy at work.

That`s why, Naomi, I`d have grabbed my file with important docs in such as you mentioned!
