I'm doing research on Harold Pinter and need to find out what influenced him when he was writing his plays. I've searched everywhere and still have no idea about what could have influenced him when writing his plays. does anyone know anything about it? please :) thanks in advance

after watching one of his plays last night ( the homecoming ) you will probably find the answer is drugs ;-0

He had an affair with Joan Bakewell (she writes about it in her autobiography, so it's common knowledge). His play "Betrayal" is supposedly about that.
