For a white wine my favourite is a pinot grigio - you get many different makes of it but I find it to be a very light, not strong tasting wine. A similar one is a spanish Torres Vina Sol - of course depends your supermarket may not stock that one. My supermarket regularly does 3 for 10 on a pinot grigio. Another nice light tasting is M&s Spanish (that is what it is called). Litre bottle for just under 4. I like a cabernet sauvignon for a red - most 'brands' suit me fine.
Hi you could try a german dornfelder wine which is really easy to drink and tastes of blackberries! it is quite low in alcohol too just 9%

The sweet wines from capital drinks seem to be popular:
ceretto moscato d'asti, great looking bottle!
and
Torres Moscatel Oro
Heads up!
