Following a heated argument my sisters boyfriend was removed from their home on friday. On sunday he waited for my sister to return home and stabbed her several times in the abdomen and then her neck, the knife had to be removed surgically. He also hurt perhaps accidently his 11 year old neice. He has a record already for theft. What is the likely hood that he will receive a jail term for this act (gbh)? I am not sure what he has been charged with, but I'm guessing it's GBH.

If this if for real, he'll definitely receive a custodial sentence: 5 years wouldn't be unrealistic.
I would hope he would get far longer than 5 years if this is genuine. It sounds more like attempted murder than GBH to me.
More like attempted murder.....throw away the keys!
Hang the bastad
Sorry Sorath, but your cousin sounds unhinged and should be removed from society for as long as possible.

As Tamborine and Daffy said, it should be a charge of attempted murder. Infact it sounds like a miracle she even survived.
If this has to be believed, have you got a link to this story.

It may not be in the UK daily papers, but it must be in your local rag?

Please send or is this a wind up?

Unfortunately, this is did happen. He was denied bail and remanded in custody, the judge said he found the attack and his behaviour 'strange' and sis is doing well.
What a terrible attack on your sister. She will hopefully recover the physical injuries and will need to ask for counselling for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder straight away because it takes years to get on a register for help. I hope this monster gets an indeterminate sentence. Having said this please take a look at what happened to my partner and the pathetic justice that was delivered to her by the judge.

The system stinks to high heaven and I wish all the very best to your sister and the rest of your family. Kind regards
