is drivng me insane- has suddenly stoped leting me upload pics from my cam to laptop?? iv re-installed the software and still dsent work

when i put cam in usb port computer makes a little noise but thats all

If you have a slot which will take memory cards, why not take the card out of the camera and use the slot ? It's what I do with the SD card in my camera, mostly because I can never fine the USB lead

Is it simply that it's no longer autoplaying the program used for the transfer?

Can you manually run whichever program that is?
