Mast Head Adapter for TV Ariel
Are these adapters the same as a normal Ariel booster? And how easy are they to fit?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As the name suggests, this is an amplifier located on the mast where the aeriel is attached I.e. as close to the aeriel as possible. This ensures that only the signal is amplified wheras a signal booster inside the property will amplify the signal and any interference picked up by the aerial cable. It also reduces signal loss through the cabling.
They need a power supply - this can be a seperate unit close by eg. in the attic. Some can be fed through the aeriel lead itself so the power unit can be at the end of the aeriel lead i.e. near freeview box.
You need to obiously go on the roof and basically install 'in line' into the aeriel downlead.
The OX2 is probably UX2 and refers to a type manufactured by Antiference - it provides two outputs from a single aeriel input - see here ;
