Tory MP's Racial Abuse To Scots PC
http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/news/article-119 5949/I-m-talking-Scottish-scuffer--Tory-MP-wal ks-race-row-policeman.html
With no MPs in Scotland, the Tories are desperate to woo Scottish voters at the next General Election.
Is this really the best way to go about it?

Cameron is the son of a Scotsman, so will be even less impressed. Pritchard has a very slender majority, less than a thousand, so I hope there are no voters with Scottish ancestry in his seat.
As much as Cameron tries to portray the Tories as cuddly and all inclusive, there are still enough dinosaurs as MPs and in the party to constantly embarrass him.

Sorry, paraffin, point taken.
To address your question, I believe the Tories do hold one seat in Scotland (David Mundell, Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale & Tweedale) but no matter. I dont think the Tories count on winning any seats north of the border. They rarely do and there is no reason why that should change next time round. So I believe they have no hope of persuading many Scottish voters to support them.
As a result I dont think Mr Pritchards outrageously offensive outburst towards PC McQuarrie will have the slightest impact on the election results. The constable can at least rest assured, as he sits at home nursing his stress-related illness (which, once his advisors get to him, could well last until and beyond the next General Election), that the very future of the nation was not jeopardised by the hideous verbal pasting he endured whilst going about his duty.
