In a bit of a sticky place, What it is..is this..my ex brother in law parked his car in my mothers drive 2 years ago due to road tax running out and couldn't afford it, Now that the dafty has done a runner a while ago and no sign of him returning, the keys for it cant be found so we cant get in and dont know if the docs are in glove box or not, the car is becoming an eye sore and really has to go but dont now what action to take, everytime we walk out the oor it just reminds us of him, we need rid of this just like him, please help
Get somebody to nick it for you ,while you are out for the day,
You wouldn't even need to report it stolen, as you would assume he had been and collected it while you were out,
that's easier said than done CAZZZ, cos if he's sorned it, and i would think he must have done after all this time, DVLA won't be bothered as it is on private property.
a sorn only lasts for 12 months logic, Im assuming he has been missing for longer than that. they should contact DVLA who will tell them how to go about having it removed
The car will still be registered to him at whatever address he is using, he could well have been fined for not doing a sorn and he could even have told them he scrapped it or sold it definately contact the DVLA and tell them the situation.
Flat tyres, flat battery doesn't help evn if I did get in through the window the sterring lock will be on, Its sad to see this Saab go to waste, for the Sorn he isnt the type of guy that registered it and was staying at a house(his ex's-my Sister n law's) he was down as no fixed abode. I would tow it out with my car but the sterring would snooker me, think DVLA is the best bet or get advise from the police
