Far, far, far worse than them broadcasting from Wimbledon is their shameless plugging and blanket coverage of Strictly Come Dancing every year. Monday features a review of what happened plus a long interview with the loser. Tuesday and Wednesday contain constant reminders to watch the BBC 2 show, and Thursday and especially Friday report on the next show.

They do the same for lots of their own shows, but I can't believe what they get away with for SCD. It's bare-faced advertising of their own product, dressed up as news.

I can't agree more quinlad, when they are talking about any tv show on the sofa I know it will be on 'usually' that same evening on bbc, it's so annoying it makes my blood boil, I dont watch 'strictly come crap' so I dont want to hear about it. If they want to waste money creating such a pointless shows in the first place with our license fee's then I dont think we can stop them but contaminating all the bbc including breakfast with this rubbish just makes me turn over to itv and well.... you have to be mad to do that, Carol Smiley can just smile off! ITV breakfast is no better than Trisha.
