I have just had my car M.O.T'd & noticed on the copy of the Brake Test Results Vehicle Data section it says Weight 880 & checking it against last years that says 1170. Not being mechanicaly minded i wondered why the figures are different? tHANKS FOR ANY HELP

If the brake test was below the MOT Spec your car would not have passed the MOT, various things effect the brake test reading, New pads, new disks I would not worry about it.
obviously your car has not lost weight in 12 months, the only possible explanation is a different model of vehicle has been entered when logging onto the mot system. i.e different fuel systems (diesels are heavier), number of doors, engine size,etc.etc.
