Hi, When I played music, windows always used to show how long the song was, now it just shows how much is ticking away and thats it. I have searched the 'help' but can find no answer. Have they changed their system?

In WMP click on box before the search box.On the drop down menu click on choose columns. Then check to see that there is a tick in the box marked length.
Hopefully this should work.

Hi Baitress, many thanks for your help, I tried what you said but the box marked 'length' was already ticked, I even highlighted it but it made no difference. What I dont know is , are others getting the length quoted or is it a fault with my computer. I had my hard disc replaced with a couple of S/Hand ones quite a while back and dont know if the problem started then. Thanks again

Don't know this for sure, and have not got WMP here at all to check, but normally on these things clicking or double clicking on the actual numbers where it's displays the time remaining changes what it shows.

Thanks Chuck, There isnt or wasnt remaing time �that was the problem? but double clicking on on the figure that was increasing and it gave a slash and whats left. Thanks a million

Your selected file should display in List Pane on right.... along with time length.

Been answering another question on WMP and noticed that the time 'left/length' was displayed where you said it was 'missing' ....this is because you inadvertently clicked on this....so if you want to see it again, just left click on the countdown digits, where you will see the options you require!
