I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but here goes..

I'm trying to find out information about a ship my grandfather served on in the second world war. The name of the ship is the H. M. S keydive and It was an aircraft carrier.

You have the name slightly wrong, it was HMS Khedive a Ruler Class Aircraft carrier . Shew was launched 27th December 1942 and Sold to USA on 26th January 1946.

lilgem my Grandad isnt alive, is yours ? if he is he'd be able to remember my grandad because his twin was on the same ship

My father was on the Kheydive (I thought it was keydive too) when it was in the Pacific. He died many years ago, but I think I still have some photos of crashed planes on the deck, and possibly some of my dad and mates on board. I'll gladly send you some scans, if I can find the originals. It might be quicker (Coz I never go on this site - only to answer this question) if u contact me at [email protected] if u are interested.
