Ladies: A "Sting" OR A "Pr!ck" ?

Have had a tooth out at the dentist's. Needed a couple of injections and he kept saying: "Now you may feel a little sting", at which his young female assistant smiled knowingly.

Which got me thinking that, had I been female, would he have said something else prior to the "extraction"?

Most dentists and doctors/nurses now say 'sharp scratch' in my experience.
