Er, I sort of know the DJ Mark Radcliffe - more an acquaintance than friend though.

 I met Rosemary Harris and her daughter Jennifer Ehle

many years ago and Rosemary keeps in touch she is really very kind and caring, she plays spiderman's aunt and is in the next film I have seen them both in plays in London and New York and always get a warm welcome.

my mum's cousin Tony Meehan was the drummer with The Shadows in their early days, then went on to have a No 1 hit in 1963. I've never met him but I went to his sister's wedding (and he never showed up...).

Not related, but I went to school with Noel Gallager and a footballer who played in the 1990 World Cup.

I had to rack my brains, but remembered I met the children's author Joan Aiken on holiday with the editor of Puffin books Kaye Webb when I was about 10, and became quite good friends with them, and went to see her in her house in Sussex. I have books from both they gave me which they signed, and sadly neither are with us any more. I am going back to the early 70s here.
