I have just seen on the news that a footballer by the name of Rinaldo is to be transferred(to Real Madrid?) They stated that "at the moment Rinaldo earns �200,000 PER WEEK"(Just WHAT will he earn in Spain then?) This throws the row over MP's expenses,and indeed even Sir Fred's pension plan into the shade. I confidently expect AB Football fans to shoot me down and tell me he is worth every penny. However,I shall stick to my guns and declare that it is OBSCENE!
My dad was shocked at footballers wages in the 1970s!!! But he used to say that their careers could be over overnight with a serious injury, and they might only have a few years at that level of earnings. but now with all the other earnings on top of their WAGES, the super star players make enough to see them thru their lives i guess
