Sorry did I miss something? Is there a shortage of people on the planet? "They could help infertile men" perhaps but it ain't like we are going extinct is it? Is there any justification for spending resources on "fertility"? including IVF etc Yes I know it's painful for those who can't reproduce but isn't that just evolution screening out genetic dead ends? If private clinics can find customers with the dosh fine but no public money should be spent on this folly.

If a 46 year old donor creates a child then when it is born it assumes the same age of the donor. It may look younger but the cells have aged correspondingly.


For:
If a childless couple have a baby why should we deny their wishes whatever treatment is available. To have their share of 2.2 children necessary for equilibrium is just. Many have tried IVF without success.

The real wastage to many in the NHS are sex change operations, rehabiliative drug treatments, curing paedophilia (or trying to) etc. Parenthood is natural and is why we were put on the Earth.
