Why?What are you worried about? Most folks details are available oni think its 192.com via the electoral register. Its a big brother state and people are watching you.Your nuying hanbits are tracked by tescos if you have a tesco card , they have the biggest private database in the uk.They are watching your every move through travel insurance car insurance credit card comapnies etc.You are but a number.

Dont get all paranoid as people will need your name surely ?

Oops how did i know yiur name was shirley ?

Leyaenda (is that you Leg?) - 192.com only has the edited electoral roll. Since 2002, you have been able to "opt out" of the published version. Thus 192 only contains about 40% of the population.

I completely agree with you about loyalty cards though. That's why I don't have one and draw out cash and pay with that.
Course its me.Im in my friday clothes.Seems our mutual fiend.Oops typo , is busy tap tapping away.

Barmaid you can find quitee alot on that 192.i believe a certain soldier used it to track a few users here.
Theres a law over here,, well spanish law but theyve adopted it here too, robinson law i think its called where you can go online and register your landline or mobile number so you dont get any unsolicited junk calls from telesales and the like.
I usually talk to them and after an hour we usually part in good natured way.

i dont buy anything tho.

lol
I know you can - but you won't find me on it!!!

I'm not too fussed about this mobile thing. I don't answer my phone anyway, unless I know who is calling.
The 118 website is closed for maintenance at the moment. There is another way to get off the register
text E to 118800 from the mobile phone you want to be made ex-directory
I think they should at least ask us if we want our mobile number made public!!
The number isn't made public. They phone you and ask if you want to accept the call. They do not give your number out.
I was waiting on that hc.

I did hear that on the radio.
But seeing as the paranoia train had pulled out of the station i didnt want to derail it.

Lol
Oh so there won't be a telephone directory listing everyones mobile number - the person has to phone 118247/similar and then the operator comes through and asks if we want to accept? Hmm I can see barriers being crossed though
karma rubbish.dont overthink a simple thing theres no risk and im sure it will cost money too. i really dont see the big deal whats someone gonna do with your number unless youre a film star or someone famous its only a number

chillout before you burst your brain over this.

barriers being crosssed is merely in your imagination.

My landline number is Ex direct. due to some very nasty phone calls at all time of the day & night. I just don't want the same thing with my m/phone but if they ring you first to ask if you want to accept the call then it will not be a problem.
