It would go for weeks then suddenly cut out as you were pulling out of a junction or even when just driving along. Sometimes it would re-start almost imediately or could take 5 min. It went back to Rover on a number of occasions but they never traced the fault. We were however told by someone to remove the ignition key, turn it over and then try and start it. My Mum actually found this to work. It obviously didn't stop it cutting out but it did get it re-started again more quickly. I think the car had an intermittent problem with the imobilizer myself. We never did get it sorted before the all too common problem of the head gasket blowing occured which with the other problems ment it went the same way as it's maker. I would love to know if you try this wether it works for you too so if you could let me know it would be appreciated. Good luck and hope it gets you going more quickly.
