Sat Nav - Angel or Devil
I've heard so many varied and opposing views on Sta Navs. May i learn the concensus of Answerbank user please ? And which make is the EASIEST to use?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.we too have a tom tom and it's the only one we have experience of. it's taken us all over france and spain as well as the uk and defo wouldn't be without it. you do have to learn to trust it though and not think 'where the heck is it taking me?' because it does know best (unless you're towing a caravan and it takes you down some unsuitable roads - but that's another story!!)
Never forget that a sat nav has no intelligence whatsoever.
Try one out in your local area on routes you know and you will see what I mean.
Most of the time they are good, but occasionally they do stupid things.
Bear this in mind when you are using one, and you will be OK.
I also have used both Tom Tom and Garmin, and would take either of them.
