Just to say, I posted a question about my cat who had a tumour a few days ago. She took a turn for the worse this evening and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go peacefully.

She'd got a steroid injection last week and had a new lease of life - it was like having the young Shelley back (she was 17) for a few days, but it didn't last. She went very peacefully at the end though - unlike myself, I'm a bloody wreck!
No, I can understanmd why you tried to help her first Karen, because that's what I did with mine. he developed a tumour behind his eye - which had to come out. The stitches burst open, and it had to be done again with surgical wire. It drove me mad woith worry, but eventually, he seemed fine again.
Then the tumour spread to his brain, and he was in a lot of pain. We paid a fortune for all sorts of treatment, but in the end, we couldn't let him stagger on. It was one of teh saddest pet losses I've ever had to deal with, so I can understand how you feel. x

Karen, you did all you could for the poor wee thing. It's hard to let go and we all try to do what we think is best, as Ice has said, we would all pay a fortune to save them and hope that they will recover.
I don't think that anyone thought bad of you for simply trying to keep her alive and don't be thinking those thought.
Yes, it is hard now that she is gone, they are just like our very own babies and we love them as much as our kids.
Karen, try and get a good nights sleep love, is there someone with you? X X X X X

I'm sorry to hear that Karen though I did fear that would be the outcome. Though its a heartbreaking decision to make, the fact that there is no other alternative, as you love them, makes it a little easier to bear.
She is now over the Rainbow Bridge, bless her, chasing mice and all the other things she loved doing. You will miss her but in time you will also be able to remember her with a smile at her antics.
Take care xx
