Predictions of 500deaths a week from H1N1at the height of epidemic.

Vaccine not available until October, for population vaccination.

The H1N1 doesn't mutate.

There is an election in 2010.

The point for your opinions:

Would the Government allow the use if untested vaccine be given to the population to satisfy political assertions?

NZ government wouldn't.
You know the answer to this sqad. Of course they would.
I read somewhere yesterday that the vaccinations may become compulsory!...........Good luck to the government with forcing the whole population of the UK to get it done.lol
It would help to solve the population problem on this overcrowded island.
Let me re-phrase my earlier answer.

The National govt would do something like that & did. As in the case of Herceptin, where they said that if they were elected, they'd bring in this drug earlier than NZ had finished testing it.

The Labour govt said, no - it must be tested fully first.

We have a Nat govt at this time.
There is a Q & A page in the Mail today. 20million doses available, 50 million to be made available, but no delivery date! It also says that there is no evidence yet of "long term" use as it hasn't been tested beyond the trial period!! In effect it may cause more problems in the long run. Cheery!
