Crisp sell by dates

Someone told me tonight that walkers crisp sell by dates are always on a saturday. We checked all the crisps in the pub including walkers and seabrooks and found that indeed, they all had sell by dates on a saturday.
Can anyone advise me why this is?

No doubt the software they use to put on dates is on a weekly basis rather than a daily one.
