Gas Prices....?

I am curious, what are the current gas prices where you live? I know there are ABer's from all over...fill me in on the never-ending gasoline price climb where you live!

Here in Alabama, USA...price has gone down a bit from as much as $2.19 to $1.99...was it along the same lines everywhere?  (and please, do account for difference between the dollar and the Euro.)

Here in the Uk the prices are per litre and depending upon whether you have unleaded or diesel. Unleaded is around 82.9p but can rocket in places like London to 90p or more. I live in the midlands of the UK. Diesel is slightly more than unleaded now though it did used to be cheaper, it is at around 85.9p per litre. My car takes unleaded and takes just over �30 to fill it right up but my car is fairly small.

North West U.K. Diesel about 89p p/ltr. � 68 for full tank and about 360 miles to the tank.

I have a Ford Fiesta ghia and it costs me about 25� to fill the tank (unleaded)

gallon in Britain is about �3.50, I think, which would be $6.50 or so. Last month I was filling up a car for $15, now it's �40. But British gallons are a bit bigger than US gallons. Sorry if my math isn't spot on HAnn but you get the idea.

Further to the answers from the UK, if we call the 'average' price of unleaded fuel 83p, then the cost of a US gallon is �3.15 which converts to around $5.60

I should also point out that if you remove the tax element from the price it would drop to about $1.25

HAnn521, the husband and I just returned from an extended road trip.  We found the lowest gas prices to be in Alabama and Georgia, from around $1.95-$1.99/gal, and Maryland/Washington DC the highest at $2.25-$2.30.  Oh, just for clarification, we went from Michigan through Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, to Georgia, then Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Ohio and back home to Michigan.

25 � to fill the tank, netibiza - wow! I've just filled mine (a Fiat Idea) and for 39litres I paid 43,68 � (1,120 � / litre) for unleaded.
I got it at the hypermarket Leclerc, supposed to be the cheapest place for petrol in France!

Shell petrol station in dundee charging 79.9 pence per litre 2 weeks ago, i thought that was very cheap as everywhere else from aberdeen to lincolnshire was between 84p and 90p a litre

DKK pr litre 9.33  =  $1.52 = �1.25 = �0.84

DKK pr US gallon 42.5 = $6.92 = �5.71 = �3.88

I'm not sure about how much they have gone up (or down) as I don't have a car, but quite a lot I suspect, and as Kempie says: Taxes make a big difference between US prices and Danish (or UK) prices
