Emails

My computer had some updates for me so I clicked on only to find it was Explorer 8. After trying to connect me it then told me my computer wasn't able to accomodate it.
I had great difficulty in getting back to Google, however I eventually managed it.
Now when I read my Emails, and open one I find I am unable to return to my Emails again without switching off my broadband and starting again. Has anyone any ideas as to what I have done or not done please?

Hi I cant help you with your problem but after downloading ie8 I had to have my computer re-formatted as it would not work.
