Media Player Problem

Hi guys,Ihave just had my computer formatted after downloading explorer 8,it would not work after doing this.My problem now is that I cannot play videos or cd's on the player,I had an error come up saying it needed a decoder! any ideas please.

I cant believe IE8 could cause ANY problem so bad you needed to reinstall Windows.

Who told you you had to reinstall Windows?

I would agree that it is highly unlikely that you *had* to do a reinstall, but now you have this should sort out any codec problems you have

(though you saying you can't play CD's is a bit of a concern.... normal CD's should play regardless!)
