Unleded petrol in Citroen 2.0 HDi
I accidentally put unleaded fuel in my 2001 Citroen Picasso 2.0 diesel car. Drove for about a mile then realised what I had done. Had the fuel drained, put diesel back in and drove about 10 miles when the Engine auto-diagnosis light came on, indicating a fault within the fuel injection, ignition or anti pollution system, not sure wether the latter applies to this model. It now cuts out when I drop revs to corner etc and the only thing to do is stop, turn ignition off and restart the car, there also is about 3 or 4 seconds of pre ignition when the engine is stopped by turning the ignition key. Wondering if anyone has made the same mistake and subsequently suffered any of these faults afterwards.
