Hey there i've already asked this question before but i didn't really undersatnd the answer! The question was why does the girl ant on the post office advert change her accent from scouse to having a rather "posh" voice? anyone know? It's bugging me I'm sad but hey!

What this is about is how people present themselves in different situations. Some people put on a "telephone" talking voice - to give an impression. In this ad as the previous answer stated the people from one area look down on the people the other. So the girl changes her voice to pretend that she isn't from the "low" class area.
