TCL I agree that it is the umpiring & the use of technology that needs to be questioned in cricket. HOWEVER, when Ricky Ponting was asked about "decisions that went against the Aussies" immediately after the game (Live on TV) his response was "Thats irrelevant, we were beaten by 115 runs by the better side".
How magnanimous & gracious in defeat he is - I cannot imagine Fergie or Wenger or Terry or Rooney being like that (probably due to lack of intelligence). Being a good loser as well as a good winner is what today's footballers lack.
I have tickets for the next Test Match & at �75 yes they are pricey but would much rather pay that for a full day's International sport than pay �40 to watch a bunch of overpaid, foul mouthed, cheating prima donnas for 90 minutes.
THAT is why cricket has been, is & always will be a better SPORT than football.
