(search for 'lager' in the page)
What a great site, Spodo ! (Two small mistakes on the page though. French 'mon petit chou' is not a reference to cabbage, 'chou', but an old French word 'chou', an affectionate term, meaning 'dear one', particularly addressed to a child, and there was such a thing as a 'two bob bit' in old money. A two-shilling coin , bit, was called a florin and was in circulation right up to decimalization)

Thanks Spodo, but I can't access that website, because I only use the 'net at the library and that site is banned!
That certainly is a great site. Interesting to see the words of boiled beef and carrots .Kite is a Scots word for stomach. As youngsters we sometimes had "a sair kite" (often through eating green apples we'd rumbled !!!) stolen .Naughty, naughty !
