2005 BBC Wimbledon advert
What's the thoughts of ABers on this years Wimbledon advert on the beeb?
It's the one with the Audio Bullys remix of Nancy Sinatra's "Bang bang, [he shot me down]".
There's been letters in my paper about it and a lot of people seem to think it's in bad taste.
Me, I like it. Good music and good graphics.
Wadya think?
Cheers,Jimbo.

Which has brilliant music, all the top players from Lions and All-Blacks, fantastic sounds, epic action, smiles on everyone's faces and is overall, a masterpiece of an advert. Go to www.adidas.com/lastmanstanding and watch the 3 minute version, pure class. Yeh i guess the wimbledons ad's not bad but like i said, totally outshone by the new adidas ad.
I quite like it jimtom but amazingly - according to a newspaper item yesterday - the BBC have so far recieved 140 complaints about this add, many people said that their children were traumatised by it! In response the beeb have said they will not show it before / after programmes when the audience is made up of at least 10% children!
I think there seem to be 2 types of moaner,Brachiopop, one's the middle Englander who doesn't like the inferance in the ad that the loser gets smashed to bits by the winner, not sporting don't y'know, should have shaken hands and called it a draw!
The other ones think it's tooo graphic and will frighten the kiddy-winks!
Well, further to my post yesterday Auntie Beeb has pulled the ad and won't be showing it when there's a chance children might be watching.
I ask you!!**?? It wouldn't have worried me in the slightest if my kids had seen this ad when they were young. Where's it gonna end?
