I am forever killing my houseplants. I have recently got myself a rubber plant and a dragon tree because I was told that they are hard to kill. I really want them to survive even better, to thrive! I love to have plants around but the only ones that do well in my house are cacti !!!
If anyone with green fingers could give me any helpful hints on how to look after them, whereabouts to put them, how often to feed and water them I would be very grateful.
I also seem to get mould or something white and fuzzy growing on the soil, what is this ? and what can be done?
thanks so much

Hi orange gnome! I'm exactly the same as you - kill every plant in sight. My mum tells me the white gunk is usually because you are over-watering it. If you lightly press your finger in the soil and some sticks,it doesn't need watering but read the little card you get with the plant to see what conditions it likes as well.

Anyone feel free to correct me, wouldn't want to be respnsible for anymore plant deaths!

If you can't keep any others, try a spider plant! Almost impossible to kill, but still nice and green. I've forgotten to water mine for months at a time, almost drowned it, squashed it twice, and it's even had a roof fall in on it - but it's still going!
