In simple language. I'm a freelance booking agent for fashion industry launch promotions.

If you're a fashion house, and you want to plan a launch, you put all your ideas together, and then ...

You either hand it over to your marketing department to try and find you space in the glossies ...

Or you sack your very expensive marketing dept and send it to me.

I may charge you a lot but, when you're not using me, I cost you nothing.

I'm great value.



But I still wish I'd studied Eng Lit. Hot summer days, sitting in reading groups on the University lawns, reading poetry to each other ...

In 1968 I answered a job advert in the London Evening Standard, had three interviews and was offered the position of trainee studio camera operator with a fledgling tellevision company.I lived in the Midlands then and my parents talked me out of accepting the job...massive regret... the fledgling TV Company !!!...London Weekend Television ...if only....LOL

seriously, it's difficult. it's an okay job with okay pay, and I'm on my own with the kids and a mortgage. I'm not happy, but there's not much out there. I'm not qualified to do anything else!
