euro land holidays

anybody whose been abroad this year? have you found it very much more expensive to eat / drink etc due to the euro nearly equalling the pound, what's your thoughts on this has it made you think twice before going again to euro places

Leg - Goa Thailand Cambodia having cheaper hols (debatable) because their standard of living is lower than the west. Locals can survive in homes with tin/palm roofs, bricks would make homes too warm.

Surrounded by seas full of fish, trees abundant with fruit, good farming with constant temp keeps food cheap.

Far East is NOT being exploited and are glad of the tourist trade.

Well we went over to the reef in march this year and got charged �10 for a bottle of holy water in the messiahs sex shop.

All third world countries their staff are exploited.

otherwise how could they afford the prices and still make a profit?one of the biggest overheads ina business if not the biggest is wages.

of course they welcome tourism alll countries do
but the third world countries and far east are cheaper to a great degree because of wages.
