can anyone tell me what the piece of music is that is played in the segment just after the man screaming with his face painted white, the images that follow are a donkey and cart going up a hill, people on a rubbish tip and a bangkok go-go bar etc

the piece of music has a sort of wailing tormented yearning singing

That was an amazing film the like I have never seen before.

The music you refer to is by 'Dead Can Dance' and the track is called 'The Host of Seraphim'....a brilliant piece of music.

Incidentally, the singer is Lisa Gerrard....of 'The Gladiator' soundtrack fame (along with Hans Zimmer), 'The Insider' soundtrack etc etc

...incidentally, they used the 'classical' sounding end segment of the music in the film 'Ripey's Game' starring John Malkovitch....the scene where he returns to his villa in a rainstorm, umbrella aloft, to await his potential nemesis.

(I know...I'm a soundtrack nerd!)
